A Fayre to Remember….

So I’m not sure if it's me but it appears that there are more and more wedding fayres popping up in Cornwall, there were a lot less back in the day when I was in the biz – way back in….2009!

Perfect For:

And now, with so much “noise” in the bridal industry and a saturated bridal fayre market, how is a gal planning her wedding to know the best of the bunch?! Ta-Dah! Good old Bridal Billington here has put together a brief guide of the most fabulous five wedding Fayres in 2012, containing only the best! Get these dates in your diaries, newly engaged ladies:

12th February
10.30am – 4.30pm, £2 entry, free for children. Get Wed in Cornwall fayre, Hall For Cornwall – a one stop shop but not for the faint hearted, the Hall for Cornwall offers a wide selection of stalls with everything you could need for your wedding all under one roof.

8th April
10.30am – 3pm, Free entry – Penventon Park Hotel – a true classic and a venue close to my heart, the Penventon fayre is one of the most established in Cornwall having run for close to 30 years. Free bubbly on arrival, hair and beauty demonstrations and a select group of prestigious stallholders, live music and a central location.  Why not make a day of it and book lunch in the restaurant.

15th April
the WED Show at Gonwin Manor, St Ives. 11am – 4pm, cost £3 (if pre-registering online entry includes a goodie bag) children are free.  In my opinion, Cornwall’s best wedding fayre, WED really know how to throw an event, always offering the ultimate in stallholders (only the best are allowed in) and some fantastic competitions on the day as well!  Also hosting another one in October, the WED Show really is the cream of the crop so if you can only attend one in 2012….make it this one!

15th July:
Summer Wedding Show & Auction on behalf of Children’s Hospice South West:
Scorrier House 11am – 4pm.  Arranged by Strawberry Leisure in conjunction with Scorrier House. Entry £3, children free: all proceeds go to Children’s Hospice South West.  A balanced and broad range of exhibitors including cake, transport, stationary, bridal wear, photography, entertainment, flowers, catering and more. Entertainment and refreshments available on the day and a great wedding fayre in a beautiful location for a good cause!  If that’s not enough, there will also be a wedding charity auction with some goodies to bid for!

25th November
-11am – 4pm, Free entry – St Ives Harbour Hotel.  This stunning hotel offers a selection of the finest wedding stallholders, from photography to cakes (yum!) but it’s worth going just to check out the spa – it is absolutely divine and one of the best in Cornwall, perfect for a hen party!

So there you have it, your wonderful wedding fayre wish list for 2012.  For more information visit the web links above or to find a fantastic fayre in your area email
