Beaujolais lovers, Beach goers and Banqueting buffs
Watergate Bay, Cornwall
Beaujolais Nouveau Day is marked in France on the third Thursday in November with fireworks, music and festivals. Under French law, the wine is released at 12:01am just weeks after the wine’s grapes have been harvested. Parties are held throughout the country and further afield to celebrate the first wine of the season.
Mixing the traditional celebrations with their Watergate charm the Beaujolais at the beach evening will consist of wine tasting, wine chat by the experts and a perfectly matched banquet supper with French onion soup, beef bourguignon and tarte fine aux pommes – yum.
Doors open at 7pm with three courses at £25 pp
As a young vintage the red wine is actually best served chilled and with a fresh and fruity taste it is devilishly drinkable. For more information about Beaujolais at the beach visit The Beach Hut’s website or give them a bell. Chin chin.
