Cornwall Food & Drink’s Cornish Challenge
By hook or by crook I have managed to bag an invite to the final of the Cornish Challenge on Monday 6th February; and I am seriously excited.
Teams were tasked back
in 2011 with designing a four course menu using locally sourced, seasonal
Cornish ingredients. Six teams have been selected to represent their
restaurants in 2012 and cook up a storm for guests and judges on Monday
evening.
Finalists include:
- Bustophers Bar
Bistro, Truro - The Ferryboat
Inn, Helford Passage - Harbourside
Restaurant at the Greenbank, Falmouth - The Rosevine,
Portscatho - Rosewarne Manor,
Connor Downs, and - Silks Bistro at
The Atlantic Hotel, Newquay.
Much tweaking,
prepping and perfecting has been going on ready to serve sumptuous supper next
week at Cornwall College. GCG have snagged a quick clip of the first round to
get your mouthwatering…
And now we are
very hungry!
