GCG ShelterBoxes land in Pakistan

A review from Whats Hot This Month

Back in April 2011, with the help of our Facebook friends, we raised £1000 for Shelterbox – that equated to two shelterboxes and we are really happy to report that they have gone to Pakistan to help families in need of shelter after the recent torrential flooding.

Fundraiser Laura Jepson took us on a tour of SBX HQ, and told us all about tents and how the ShelterBoxes worked; and told us that when our boxes were needed they would go out.

ShelterBox are having their annual Open Day this weekend and I urge you all to go and have a look at all the equipment, hear about the tents and see the sheer amount of work that the whole ShelterBox team put in to make sure that families affected by disaster are provided with shelter, warmth and dignity.

Thank you to all who helped us send out these boxes! Embrace the warm fuzzy feeling of helping others… Bravo ShelterBox!
