Pengenna Manor: A most marvellous affair
It seems to me that what one needs when organising an event – other than a robust ‘to-do’ list – is a cracking venue to hold such event. However it is really people that make a venue work for my money and such a person is a charming gent named Richard of Pengenna Manor.

Taking up the family seat at the most marvellous of soon-to-be wedding and event venues is the coolest go-getter I have met in a long time. I want him to be my friend. Him, his lovely spaniel and Lewis the cat with no tail. Not yet in event/ wedding planning mode (though soon to be) Richard is creating, with celebratory panache, something that acts as a pure blank canvas.
“Tie the knot in our feature summer house with views down over the valley while your guests look on from under an avenue of apple and cherry blossom trees, or inside the 800-year-old Grade II* Manor House in the historic atmosphere of the Drawing Room built during the reign of Elizabeth I.”
Good, no? All out of his own artifice, imagination, passion and drive. Be you marrying man, woman or beast this is really rather superb.
If a wedding is not on the cards but your curiosity is piqued, or indeed you love outdoor theatre, Miracle as performing their rather epic show ‘The Tempest’ there on 19th August. Both things are brilliant and Kernoforno will be serving up some sublime snacks. Get tix here.
Check both things out. You will not be disappointed.
