Stay & Supper

Walk into the grand hall in a perfect palate of Farrow and Ball coastal colours. The country manor style living room with floor to ceiling book shelves heaving with books, board games and maps for exploring. The open fire place is the focal point to snuggle up around whilst watching the sea ravage the shore line and cliffs. The dining room is a supper party heaven with a long table and a huge bay window offering only blue views. The kitchen is fully equipped but bantam in size, though the utility room downstairs with walk in larder gives extra space for both supplies of locally sourced goodies and muddy hounds!

Late nights & Lie ins

On the first floor are three bedrooms, two king-size doubles each with walk in wet rooms and a twin room. Each has the same breath-taking view of the bay and out to Fowey and Charlestown. The second floor houses an attic children’s room; perfect for Enid Blyton style escapades, midnight feasts and keeping look-out for pirates on the bay.

Soak off the salt water

There are three bathrooms in Ropehawn with a separate downstairs loo. The family bathroom on the first floor has a free standing slipper bath for deliciously deep soaks. The ensuite wetrooms each have rainforest showers for rinsing off the salt water from a canoe to the private beach.

Mod cons

For all Ropehawn’s secluded hideaway exceptional attention to detail has been though of with all the mod-cons available. WiFi, TV, DVD player, and Roberts Radio are all in situe so you can almost be in the office, just with perks.

Pack

Ropehawn has private parking but the property is only accessible by boat or by foot through a well maintained path (approx. 50 yards) that leads down to the house. Make sure to pack sensible shoes and a torch just in case you arrive late; though Tony Wightman will meet you to help with all your bags on arrival. Order food before you arrive and pack for wild swimming, dog friendly walks through the woods and plenty of mackerel fishing.
