Trevarno Skincare: COMPETITION: An Organic Detox
After the ravages on the waist line and the boozing on the skin – not to mention general senses… I felt in dire need of something to restore my outside and nourish my inside. Because ravaged, and not in a ‘wild romance’ sort of way, is exactly how I look and feel in the cold light of January 2012.
In search of salvation, I ventured down to the bountiful Trevarno estate to meet up with Sarah of Trevarno Skincare, to find out about their organic range of products which are all created there. In a Garden of Eden setting, surrounded by organic skincare treats and immersed in their uplifting scent, this felt like the perfect solution to combat the excesses of toxic indulgence.
It all started with soaps…
Inspired by the Cornish coast and the countryside, the range was born in 1998 as a collection of natural handmade soaps. Trevarno has since expanded into a whole range of skincare for all the family, from luxury facial products celebrated by Vogue through to baby care for delicate newborn skin. Trevarno Skincare should really be dubbed as one of the pioneers of organic skincare – an ethos of ‘only goodness should be absorbed into the skin’. Simple, no?
Not only are they championing the organic, Trevarno strive to be as ethical as they possibly can with palm-oil free soaps being just one initiative, a stance which was supported by The Eden Project and led to the creation of Trevarno’s soap deli at Eden. They have also established a special relationship with a community in the South American Rainforest to help them develop sustainable incomes and to aid conservation of the precious and endangered environment in which they live, with their Rainforest Partnership soap.
